White Braces

Adult white braces cost from £990 in our Central London Clinic.White braces are made of tooth-coloured materials that blend in with the teeth and make them less noticeable than metal braces.

To achieve the best results with white braces, we use a combination of white braces in the top and metal braces in the bottom teeth. Braces are significantly less visible in the lower teeth and as metal braces are usually stronger and quicker, with this combination you still get the aesthetic appearance of white braces with the added bonus of the efficiency of the metal ones.

Pros:
  • Less noticeable than metal braces
  • Faster treatment time than lingual braces

Cons:
  • Clear/white ligatures can stain (however these are replaced monthly)
  • Treatment can take a few months longer than with metal braces
  • Weaker than metal braces

6. Keeping your teeth and gums at optimal health during your orthodontic treatment

It’s important that you maintain a good oral hygiene and clean your teeth regularly as clean teeth and gums help with treatment progress.

On top of regular brushing, during your treatment, we strongly recommend that you see a hygienist every 3 to 6 months to ensure any buildup of calculus, tartar or hardened dental plaque is removed and doesn’t slow down the movement of your teeth.

During your orthodontic visits, we will not be checking for other dental diseases such as tooth decay or gum disease so it is important that you continue to see a general dental practitioner to maintain good oral health as dental problems can interfere with your orthodontic treatment and overall oral health.

7. Removing your braces

Once you are happy with the results of the treatment, you will be booked with our orthodontic therapist to remove your braces. At this appointment, we will remove your braces and any attachments.

We will place fixed retainers at the back of your teeth and take impressions for removable retainers which will be ready after one week.

The retainers are needed to hold your teeth in the new position and to prevent them from moving back into their original position. They should be worn "FOR LIFE".

Cost:
£119 Braces Removal

Fixed Retainers
£150 per retainer

Invisalign Retainers
£300 one arch (3 retainers)
£450 top and bottom (6 retainers)

8. Retention phase

You must wear your retainers after we remove your braces to prevent your teeth from moving out of alignment again.  Damaged retainers (fixed or removable) should be repaired as quickly as possible to avoid your teeth moving.

Six months after we remove your braces, we will check to ensure that everything is fine with your retainers.

Cost:
£59 Retainer Check-up

Payment:
Payable on the treatment date

9. Enhancing your orthodontic results

We often provide other cosmetic treatments to enhance the results of orthodontic treatment. Braces will straighten your teeth and other treatments such as composite bondings, whitening and gum contouring can dramatically improve the appearance of your newly straightened teeth. We offer free complementary assessments as well as 0% interest on these treatments to our existing patients.

* This is optional and may not be suitable or needed in all cases. Ask our team for more details.
